Corrections

Research changes, and so do we. When we get something wrong, we fix it in the open: the correction is noted on the affected page and recorded in the log below.

How to report an error

Spotted something we should check? Send us the source. Use the contact page and choose "Correction" as the topic. Include a link to the source we should check: a published study, an official regulatory page, or the original document.

You do not need an account to submit a correction, and we never ask for medical histories.

What happens next

  1. We read the submission and check the cited source.
  2. If the page is wrong, we correct it and note the change in the page's "Sources, methodology, and changes" section.
  3. The correction is added to the public log below, with the date.

Cosmetic edits, such as typos and formatting, are fixed without a log entry and never reset a page's substantive review date.
